ATCO Rubber Products Inc. is currently seeking a seasoned Plant Manager who will manage and direct the production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions of our light industrial manufacturing plant in Fort Worth, TX. This manager will coordinate the manufacturing departments’ functions to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility.
- Provide leadership and management to associates.
- Schedule daily and weekly demand to meet shipments and maintain inventory levels.
- Ensure production meets the required deadlines, and quality standards and is completed within the operational budget.
- Manage, measure, and improve the labor efficiency and productivity of the facility
- Manage and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
- Ensure the facility is clean and neat.
- Ensure lead times perform to company service levels.
- Ensure material is received on time, keep inventories in good condition and rotating stock (FIFO)
- Work closely with Operations Management to ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Build a succession plan for each role where necessary.
- Create and maintain a high level of employee morale and relations.
- Direct interviewing, staffing, and training on all hourly and salary levels for the plant
- Operate within all Local, State, and Federal Laws.
- Manage all plant employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the plant.
- Manage 180-200 salary and hourly employees in a multi-shift operation.
- Coordinate security and fire-alarm plan for facility, schedule quarterly inspections, and handle service calls associated with the equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 8-10 years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Industrial/Manufacturing experience recommended and highly preferred
- A degree is not necessary but strongly preferred. Military experience may be substituted for education.
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles
- Proven work experience as a Plant Manager
- Proven supervisory skills and demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills
- Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, and inventory processes
- Computer proficiency

Candidates must have proven work experience as a Plant Manager with demonstrated leadership skills. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday and on-call as required to manage facility operations.
