Plant Manager - Manufacturing

ATCO Rubber Products Inc. is currently seeking a seasoned Plant Manager who will manage and direct the production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions of our light industrial manufacturing plant in the Northwest Georgia area (Bartow/Gordon Counties). This manager will coordinate the manufacturing departments’ functions to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility.
  • Provide leadership and management to associates.
  • Schedule daily and weekly demand to meet shipments and maintain inventory levels.
  • Ensure production meets the required deadlines, and quality standards and is completed within the operational budget.
  • Manage, measure, and improve the labor efficiency and productivity of the facility
  • Manage and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
  • Ensure the facility is clean and neat.
  • Ensure lead times perform to company service levels.
  • Ensure material is received on time, keep inventories in good condition and rotating stock (FIFO)
  • Work closely with Operations Management to ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Build a succession plan for each role where necessary.
  • Create and maintain a high level of employee morale and relations.
  • Direct interviewing, staffing, and training on all hourly and salary levels for the plant
  • Operate within all Local, State, and Federal Laws.
  • Manage all plant employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the plant.
  • Manage 160-180 salary and hourly employees in a multi-shift operation.
  • Coordinate security and fire-alarm plan for facility, schedule quarterly inspections, and handle service calls associated with the equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 8-10 years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Industrial/Manufacturing experience recommended and highly preferred
  • A degree is not necessary but strongly preferred. Military experience may be substituted for education.
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles
  • Proven work experience as a Plant Manager
  • Proven supervisory skills and demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills
  • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, and inventory processes
  • Computer proficiency

  • Manage all plant employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the plant.

  • Industrial/Assembly experience highly preferred

Production Supervisor

ATCO Rubber Products, Inc. is currently looking for an experienced Production Supervisor who has exceptional supervisory and leadership skills to lead a production team of 40-50 hourly employees in Phoenix, AZ. This position will supervise and monitor employees’ productivity and oversee the safe use of equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet production demand to satisfy customer orders
  • Meet or exceed all production schedules and set goals
  • Assign responsibilities to production employees
  • Produce high-quality level of products for customer
  • Maintain production equipment running and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Monitor control and reduce all scrap or waste
  • Hire and maintain the necessary workforce to meet goals
  • Ensure all employees are trained to work safely and efficiently
  • Effectively coach and counsel employees
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate expectations
  • Promote a safe work environment
  • Maintain a positive and challenging work environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisor experience in leading a production or shipping team in a manufacturing environment

This position manages all production employees and is responsible for the hiring and performance management of the employees. This is a full-time position working 40-45 hours per week, Monday-Friday and may include occasional Saturdays, 5:00AM to 1:30PM.
